HAZARA INTERNATIONAL FORUM STRONGLY CONDEMNS THE MIZAN CHOWK SUICIDE BOMBING AND DEMANDS THE GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN TO APPREHEND THE PERPETRATORS.

The HIF Central Committee denounced the insensitive suicide bombing of Mizan Chowk Quetta, occurring at a peaceful Al-Quds Rally on 03-09-2010 and demanding the Government of Pakistan to arrest the culprits involved in this heinous crime. In a Press Release issued here on Friday, they condoled with the aggrieved families of the martyred and the injured and appealed to the people to remain calm in this tense situation.

In separate letters being dispatched to the Government of Pakistan, the HIF has expressed anger and deep concern over irresponsible acts of Frontier Corps for opening fire at innocent ethnic Hazaras and killing dozens on the spot. We also feel that the incumbent Inspector General, Balochistan Police and Frontier Corps should be held responsible for their unprofessional conduct and lax attitude which led to huge human loss.

HIF also demands the Government concerned to set up an Inquiry Committee comprising of on-service Supreme Court judges to probe the matter and penalize the high ranked bureaucrats involved in ordering the shooting of innocent people and the IG, Balochistan Police be suspended immediately for negligence of his professional duties.

The Central Committee also discussed other options including mass demonstration in front of the Embassy of Pakistan, London and holding a series of meeting with the members of the UN, the European Union, Amnesty International, UK and British politicians to highlight the pre-planned ethnic cleansing and persecution of Hazaras in Quetta, Balochistan.
