HIF ANNOUNCES TO CELEBRATE HUMAN RIGHTS WEEK

Hazara International Forum has announced to hold Human Rights Week, starting from 03-12-2010 to 10-12-2010 under the theme of, “Protect The Vulnerable”. The main purpose of celebrating the Human Rights Week is highlighting the atrocities and cruelties against the oppressed and under-represented Hazaras. The event is held in context to the International Human Rights Day, being celebrated world over on the 10th December, 2010. The decade long religious extremism, target and mass killings and abduction of Hazaras in Quetta shall be brought in the notice of Human Rights Organisations, the UK authorities, the European Union and the UNO. The plights of Hazaras of Afghanistan in form of the Pashtun Kochis’ infiltration to Hazara land on yearly basis, ethnic and racial discrimination against them will also be conveyed to all quarters concerned and the afore-said respective departments.

It has also been decided to take up the crucial issue of deportation of Hazara asylum-seekers from Australia, the UK and other European countries with their government dignitaries for reconsideration of the refused cases on humanitarian grounds.

A vigorous campaign has been devised to highlight these issues via letters, brochure and series-wise meetings with members of the UK and European parliaments, Human Rights Organisations and the Commonwealth Office.
